Sprinter Tim Montgomery Facing Jail Time

Sprinter Tim Montgomery, who was once the world’s fastest man, is sitting in jail waiting for his hearing on drug distribution charges. Montgomery faces charges of conspiracy to possess heroin with an intent to distribute the drug. In addition, he is also being sentenced in connection with a check fraud case.
Tim Montgomery’s fall from grace started in 2005 when he received a two-year doping ban that wiped out his world record 100 meter time from September 2002 when he was banned based on evidence which linked him to the BALCO scandal and THG, a steriod drug.

TUF Fighter Paul Bradley gets sent Home by Dana White

In this week’s The Ultimate Fighter Episode 3, Paul Bradley who was part of Team Rampage was sent home by UFC President Dana White after it came to the attention that he had broken out with what looked like to be a rash on his neck.
During the show, Rampage decided to let Paul Bradley run on a treadmill on the side of the gym because he didn’t want to get the rest of his fighters infected until Bradley had it checked out by a doctor. Later, a dermatologist who checked Paul Bradley determined that the rash was a form of herpes simplex, and it could infect others during workouts. After much consideration, Dana White decided that the best thing to do was to send Paul Bradley home. White said, “personally and legally, I can’t do this”, meaning he couldn’t keep Bradley on the show because of safety concerns for the other fighters.
After all the controversy played out, Dana White did make the right decision by sending Paul Bradley home. If Paul Bradley’s infection spread to one of the other fighters during the course of the show, Dana White and the UFC could have been in a lot of legal trouble knowing the situation with Paul Bradley. It does seem like this is the end of Paul Bradley’s MMA career; I don’t see any other MMA organization allowing him to fight in their events after knowing what is going on with him. I feel bad for the guy, he did give up everything to pursue his dream in the UFC, and it was all crushed before he even had a chance to start the most important part of his career!
Kobe Bryant Talks About Jumping Over Aston Martin
I recently posted an Internet video of Kobe Bryant jumping over an Aston Martin. Here’s a new video I picked up of Kobe Bryant explaining if the video was real or not. He doesn’t actually answer the question, but says if Hollywood can create a movie where Rambo can take on a whole army by himself, why can’t Kobe Bryant jump over an Aston Martin. In my opinion, Kobe Bryant was suggesting it was all fake by the comment he made:
An Introduction to MMA Fighter Kimbo Slice

If your a fan of mixed martial arts the name Kimbo Slice is probably familiar to you already. This backyard, street brawler turned mixed martial artist is probably the most controversial figure in the MMA world today. His presence has already caught the attention of famous MMA fighters like Chuck Liddell, who bad-mouthed Kimbo Slice about his participation in street fights.
Kimbo Slice, aka Kevin Ferguson, is known all over the Internet for his brutal backyard, street fights where his crew arranges him to fight with other supposedly bad-ass Miami street fighters while taping the fights and posting them on the Internet for people to watch. In total, Kimbo has fought in about 8 street fights that have been video-taped and placed on the Internet; all of which he has won except for one fight versus a former Boston police officer who trains in MMA, Sean Gannon. To prepare for his fight with Gannon, Kimbo Slice hired well-known MMA fighter Bas Rutten to train him, and since then Bas has been Kimbo’s MMA trainer. Also, after the fight Kimbo left street fighting to enter the world of mixed martial arts.
Today, there’s a lot of buzz that continues to build behind Kimbo Slice who had a huge fan base on the Internet even before he started fighting in mixed martial arts events. Even though Kimbo Slice is just starting out in professional MMA events and has a lot to prove before being accepted as a true MMA fighter, he has already won his first two official MMA fights; the first one being against former WBO heavyweight champion boxer Ray Mercer, and the second fight against Tank Abbott.
Only time will tell whether Kimbo Slice is the real deal and has what it takes to make it big as an MMA fighter, but if things go as he plans it will be one exciting ride, not only for Kimbo Slice, but for all fans of MMA!
Be sure to check out Kimbo Slice’s next fight in EliteXC which will air on CBS primetime television on May 31st!
Kobe Bryant jumps over Aston Martin in Internet video commercial
This video was Nike’s attempt at creating a viral video commercial on the Internet for its new Hyperdunk Sneakers. It shows basketball superstar Kobe Bryant putting on the sneakers and jumping over an Aston Martin which is speeding directly towards him head on! The video has many people wondering whether it is authentic or not.
If you want my opinion, the video is fake. I don’t think the Lakers, Nike, or Kobe Bryant would want to put himself in any danger of getting seriously injured and losing his basketball career. It’s just not worth it!
