TUF Fighter Paul Bradley gets sent Home by Dana White

The Ultimate Fighter

In this week’s The Ultimate Fighter Episode 3, Paul Bradley who was part of Team Rampage was sent home by UFC President Dana White after it came to the attention that he had broken out with what looked like to be a rash on his neck.

During the show, Rampage decided to let Paul Bradley run on a treadmill on the side of the gym because he didn’t want to get the rest of his fighters infected until Bradley had it checked out by a doctor. Later, a dermatologist who checked Paul Bradley determined that the rash was a form of herpes simplex, and it could infect others during workouts. After much consideration, Dana White decided that the best thing to do was to send Paul Bradley home. White said, “personally and legally, I can’t do this”, meaning he couldn’t keep Bradley on the show because of safety concerns for the other fighters.

After all the controversy played out, Dana White did make the right decision by sending Paul Bradley home. If Paul Bradley’s infection spread to one of the other fighters during the course of the show, Dana White and the UFC could have been in a lot of legal trouble knowing the situation with Paul Bradley. It does seem like this is the end of Paul Bradley’s MMA career; I don’t see any other MMA organization allowing him to fight in their events after knowing what is going on with him. I feel bad for the guy, he did give up everything to pursue his dream in the UFC, and it was all crushed before he even had a chance to start the most important part of his career!
